River Bards Gear Up for Fall Poetry Performances: Where to Enjoy Free Readings in Haverhill

Haverhill’s River Bards poetry group is gearing up for their fall readings on Sept. 6, Oct. 4 and Nov. 1 downtown at 2 Merrimack St, Haverhill.

Each night begins at 7 p.m. with readings from a featured, published poet followed by an open mic ending at 9 p.m. Sign-ups are first come, first serve but everyone who wishes will have a chance to read, as long as they can keep their performance within three- to five-minutes. Featured poets include Isabell Vanmerlin, J.D. Scrimgeour, and Jim Knowles.

This event is free and family friendly.
