Georgetown Man Wins $1 Million on Lottery Scratch Ticket

Georgetown’s D. Steven Hansen better get ready to meet a lot of long-lost relatives. The Merrimack Valley resident just claimed a cool $1 million as the latest winner of the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Diamond Millions” instant ticket game, the Lottery Commission confirms.

The $30 scratch ticket was purchased Friday, Aug. 16 at Crosby’s Marketplace, 62 Central St., in Georgetown, the Lottery said. The store is set to receive a $10,000 bonus for selling Hansen the ticket.

Sixty-nine additional $1 million instant prizes still remain in the “Diamond Millions” instant game.
