Outside of the downtown district, residents across the city in neighborhoods including the Haverhill Highlands and upper Main Street reported water pressurization issues.

Bailey Boulevard is closed to traffic between Emerson and How Streets, with detours in place, Haverhill Police said.

Elsewhere on Monday night, a small gas leak on Belvidere Road was quickly taken care of by members of Haverhill’s police and fire departments, Fiorentini confirmed. Two homes in the area were evacuated out of an abundance of caution as the gas company worked to locate the source of the leak.
