A 12-year-old bicyclist has been flown to a Boston-area hospital after suffering what police are calling “serious” injuries in a Friday afternoon pedestrian accident on Bradford’s Farrwood Drive.

The boy was riding his bike near 81 Farrwood Drive when he was struck by a Buick Encore, Haverhill Police said. He was taken by helicopter to Tufts Medical Center for treatment and the crash remains under investigation.

No criminal charges have been filed at this time, Haverhill Police Capt. Stephen J. Doherty Jr. tells WHAV.
