They paddled, now it’s time to present the check! Following the successful 41st annual Lou Marcel Canoe Race, representatives from the Crescent Yacht Club presented a $7,700 donation to the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center, the beneficiary of this year’s event.
Delivering this year’s purse to VNOC’s projects and program manager Randy Carter was Race chairperson Michelle Burchell and her committee.
Burcell told WHAV 150 participants took part in June’s seven-mile canoe race along the Merrimack River that began in Lawrence and ended at Bradford’s Crescent Yacht Club.
