Today’s Obituaries—Aug. 1: Boylan, D’Ambrosio

William “Bill” F. Boylan, 69, died July 29 at Lawrence General Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Methuen and raised in Haverhill, he worked as a contractor and carpenter in the Merrimack Valley. He was also employed at Methuen’s National Asbestos Abatement and at his family’s farm, the Broadway Riding Academy. Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 2 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are Saturday morning in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial follows in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rt. 97, Salem, N.H.

Peter A. D’Ambrosio, 94, of Sandown, N.H., died Monday, July 29, at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, N.H. A WWII U.S. Army veteran, D’Ambrosio received a Good Conduct Medal, American and Pacific Campaign Medals and World War II Victory Medal. He worked for the Registry of Motor Vehicles and General Electric before retiring from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 2 from 5-8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 3 at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ann Church in Hampstead, N.H. Burial with military honors will be in Haverhill’s Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
