Stevens is a candidate for rabbinic ordination and is experienced in service leading, as well as being a Jewish educator, the Temple tells WHAV in a statement.

The chair of the search committee, Scott Hannula, shared their excitement when hiring Stevens, telling WHAV “the committee felt that Jen’s skills, talents, and outgoing nature would be an excellent complement to our dynamic spiritual leader, Cantor Vera.”

Main Street’s Temple Emanu-El is a reform congregation that seeks a “traditional, yet creative” approach to Jewish worship.

Stevens received a bachelor of science degree in business from Indiana University, and went on to obtain a master of arts degree in Jewish studies from Hebrew College in 2005. After college, Stevens taught and served at local synagogues before settling in Natick with her spouse and three children.
