Today’s Obituaries-July 25: Georgakopoulos, Mosko, Whitney

Eleni P. (Tzortzis) Georgakopoulos, 86, of Derry, N.H., died July 22 at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill. Born in Greece, she came to the United States and settled in Haverhill in 1976. Georgakopoulos worked at Samuel Roberts in Haverhill and Ralph Lauren in Lawrence. A funeral mass takes place at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 26 at St. Peter and St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 156 Winter St., Haverhill. Burial follows in Linwood Cemetery, 41 John Ward Ave., Haverhill.

Wayne R. Mosko, 75, of Haverhill, died July 23. Born in Pennsylvania, Mosco taught at multiple local schools, including Whitter Regional Vocational Technical High School. Mosco also owned Regent Refrigeration, located in Groveland, for more than 30 years. Visiting hours are Friday, July 26, at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Haverhill from 4-8 p.m. Services begin Saturday in the funeral home at 11 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main St., Haverhill at noon.

Pamela J. (Porter) Whitney, 63, of Haverhill, died July 23 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston. Born in Main, Whitney graduated from Haverhill High School in 1973 and attended Northern Essex Community College. She worked at Lucent Technologies and volunteered for Haverhill organization Ozzie’s Kids. Calling hours on Saturday, July 27 from 2-5 p.m. at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service follows in the funeral home at 5 p.m.
