Today’s Obituaries—July 16: McIntyre, Rourke

Edward G. McIntyre, 80, of Haverhill, died July 13 after battling several medical conditions. Born in Ipswich, McIntyre worked for many years at Essex County Gas Company; became involved in the Haverhill community, working with the Riverside-Bradford Little League; and serving as scoutmaster for Haverhill’s Troop 12. Visiting hours are from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, at Dole, Childs and Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill. A private service will be held at a later time.

Louise T. (Poirier) Rourke, 92, died July 11 at Penacook Place in Haverhill. Rourke, born in Lawrence, worked for many years at Bride Grimes., and enjoyed travelling the region. Calling hours are Wednesday, July 17, from 9-11 a.m. at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service follows in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial is in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker St., Lawrence.
