Today’s Obituaries—July 15: Evans, Franklin, Kingston, Kluge, Souza

Steven M. Evans Jr., 26, a lifelong resident of Merrimac, died unexpectedly at his home in Plaistow, N.H. on Thursday, July 11. Born in Haverhill, he worked as a diesel mechanic at Bay State Disposal in Atkinson, N.H. A celebration of life is planned for Tuesday, July 16 at 14 Nichols St., Merrimac at noon. Burial is private, with arrangements by the Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 36 West Main St., Merrimac.

Sylvia M. Franklin, 75, a longtime Haverhill resident, died peacefully on Thursday, July 11. Services are private, with arrangements by the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Haverhill.

Georgeanna M. Kingston, of Bradford, died peacefully on July 12 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her family. At the request of the family, services will be private. There will be a celebration of life in the future.

Dianne A. (Tyrrell) Kluge, 74, of Haverhill, died July 12 at High Pointe Hospice House surrounded by loved ones. Born in Salem, she was employed by the City of Haverhill as a nurse’s aide at the former Glynn Memorial Nursing Home, retiring in 1995. Calling hours are Monday, July 15 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill.

George R. Souza, Jr., 53, a resident of Haverhill since 2018, died peacefully at his home from natural causes on July 11. He was employed most recently as a charity fund raiser and had previously worked selling cars for Joe Souza’s Auto Sales of Methuen. Calling hours take place Wednesday, July 17 from 5-7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. A funeral service follows at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
