Students enrolled at the Haverhill YMCA’s before- and after-school programs next fall will see a revamped curriculum surrounding science, technology, engineering, arts and math—STEAM for short—thanks to a recently awarded $20,000 grant from the Cabot Foundation.

YMCA Regional Director Tracy Fuller tells WHAV the funds will go toward supplies for the program, along with additional curriculum materials for the new school year.

“We are continually exploring ways to expand our collaboration with the public schools to provide additional enrichment programming that is affordable to all. Cabot Foundation’s support helps us reach more children, deepen our community partnerships and strengthen our community.”

The YMCA program is offered at Haverhill elementary schools Greenleaf, Nettle, Pentucket Lake, Silver Hill, Tilton and Golden Hill.

Located on Rogers Road, Cabot Corporation is a global chemicals and materials company headquartered in Boston.
