Today’s Obituaries—June 27: Broderick, Philpot, Tejeda

Cornelius F. Broderick, 94, died peacefully on Monday, June 24, surrounded by his family. Born in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, Ireland, he immigrated to Haverhill in 1949 and worked as a crew chief and inspector at the Haverhill Gas Company for 35 years. Visiting hours are Thursday, June 27 in the Driscoll Funeral Home 309 South Main St., Haverhill from 4-7 p.m. Services begin Friday morning in the funeral home at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial is held in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main St., Haverhill, at 10 a.m.

Marc B. Philpot, 60, a longtime Haverhill resident, died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, on Saturday, June 22. Services are private with arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home in Haverhill.

Nelly M. Rosa de Tejeda, 76, died June 24 at her home. Born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic, she came to the United States in 1962 and spent time in San Francisco and New York City before relocating to Haverhill, where she owned and operated Nelly’s Bridal Boutique. Calling hours are Saturday, June 29 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service follows in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Burial takes place in Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Avenue, Haverhill.
