Today’s Obituaries—June 6: McCann Black, Palleria

Jennifer Meghan McCann Black, 36, a Haverhill native, died peacefully Monday, June 3, surrounded by her family at a hospice center near her home in Pawtucket, RI. Holding a Master’s degree in teaching from Brown University, McCann Black taught history and psychology at Wrentham’s King Philip Regional High School. Calling hours are Friday, June 7 from 4-8 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Saturday morning in the funeral home at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill at 10 a.m. Burial follows in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hilldale Avenue, Haverhill.

Theresa (Mastriani) Palleria, died on Monday, June 3 at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield N.H., at the age of 107. Born in Pennsylvania, she moved to Haverhill after getting married and worked in the city’s shoe industry until retirement. Calling hours are Friday, June 7 from 6–9 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. A graveside service takes place at Haverhill’s Linwood Cemetery on Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m.
