Georgetown resident Olivia Putnam is giving back to her country as an aviation electronics technician 2nd class in the United States Navy, her military command staff tells WHAV.
Working aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea, Putnam is deployed to support naval operations and maritime stability in the western Indian Ocean.
Among her recent duties on the ship included the inspection of an F/A-18F Super Hornet from the “Jolly Rogers” of Strike Fighter Squadron in the hangar bay aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier.
