Michelle (DeLuca) Benedetti, 51, wife of Joseph A. Benedetti, died May 30 at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill after a courageous battle with cancer. For 21 years, she was employed with the State of Massachusetts in the Department of Children and Families as a social worker and supervisor, working in the Haverhill office since 2001. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sacred Hearts Church Monday. Haverhill. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michelle’s memory to Susan G. Komen New England, 2000 Commonwealth Ave., Suite 205, Auburndale, MA 02466.

Gilbert J. Levesque, 85, husband of the late Ita (Devitt) Levesque, died peacefully on May 31 at Grace House of Windham in Windham, N.H. Born in Lawrence, he attended school in the Bronx, N.Y., and received a teaching degree from Fordham University. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 4 from 3-6 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to a calling hour from 9-10 a.m. at the McLaughlin, Kramer and Megiel Funeral Home 220 Glen St., Glen Cove, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church 235 Glen St., Glen Cove, NY. Burial follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, N.Y.

Ernest Piccirillo, 89, a highly decorated veteran from Methuen, died unexpectedly on May 29. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for more than 25 years, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. Calling hours are Monday, June 3 from 4-8 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A funeral mass takes place Tuesday, June 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial follow at Elmwood Cemetery, North Lowell Street, Methuen.

George A. Wickson IV, 46, died May 30 in Boston. Born in Lawrence, Wickson served as a member of the Plaistow, N.H. police officer for more than 14 years, working in the detective unit and as a member of the Rockingham County Regional Drug Task Force. Calling hours are Monday, June 3 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are Tuesday in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial follows in Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East St., Tewksbury.
