Methuen and State Police are currently investigating after a brazen Sunday afternoon shooting left a 17-year-old male with life threatening injuries, Chief Joseph E. Solomon tells WHAV.
Local police responded to Davis Road just after 12:20 p.m. and spoke to a witness who saw a black SUV with tinted windows push the teen out and drive off, Solomon said.
The victim, a student at Methuen High School, lives on Davis Road. He was shot once and underwent surgery at Lawrence General Hospital before being transported to a Boston-area hospital.
Davis Road remains closed at this hour as police continue to investigate the crime. No suspects have been identified, Solomon said.
