Narcotics officers conducting surveillance in the area of Methuen’s Sawyer Street observed an alleged hand-to-hand drug transaction on Tuesday, May 14, leading to the arrest of four individuals, Chief Joseph E. Solomon said Friday.
According to police, the transaction took place when a vehicle with New Hampshire plates interacted with a Lowell-based driver behind the wheel of a Honda Accord.
As a result of the investigation, police seized a 14.3 grams of suspected fentanyl, a Colt 9mm handgun, a magazine with 14 9mm rounds and $174 in cash.
