Devanah Leonie Walker, 23, Northern Essex Student, Market Basket Clerk

Devanah Leonie Walker, 23, died from injuries sustained in a car accident in Methuen on May 5.

Born in Landover, Md., she was the daughter of Donovan and Marie (Timothee) Walker of Haverhill. Raised and educated in Springdale, Md., she was a 2013 graduate of Charles Herbert Flowers High School. Walker was a part-time student at Northern Essex Community College and was employed at Market Basket in Haverhill. She enjoyed the beach, watching movies and hanging out with her sister. She was outgoing and made friends easily. She was a kind, sweet girl with a gentle spirit. She loved spending time with her family and they will miss her dearly.

In addition to her loving parents, Walker is survived by her sister Genelle Walker of Haverhill; brother Jeremiah Milien of Lawrence; uncle Jean Pierre Timothee Jr. of Fitchburg; aunts Stephanie Renerd and Marie Peggy Lewis; her grandparents Jean Pierre and Leonie Timothee of Haverhill; and several cousins and many friends.

Calling hours are Friday, May 10 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St.,Haverhill. A funeral service follows in the funeral home at 7 p.m.
