Groveland voters go to the polls today to fill a vacancy on the Board of Selectmen, elect a town clerk and make decisions about a new regional high school, marijuana stores and whether the tree warden should be appointed.
Voters will also have to identify people to fill four posts where none have expressed interest in the jobs.
As WHAV previously reported, after a dozen years as town clerk, Anne Brodie is stepping down. Vying to succeed her are John P. “Jack” Bevelaqua, Norma J. Bird, Elizabeth J. Cunniff, Bonnie J. Wood and Katherine M. Young. Bevelaqua is a former host of the Open Mic Show, heard over WHAV.
Voters are also being asked to choose between Daniel J. MacDonald and Kathleen Katrinelis to complete the last year of the unexpired term of Lisa Dube-Carpenter who resigned. They’ll also decide whether William G. O’Neil wins another term. He is being challenged by Debra Young for the three-year-term.
Others incumbents are running unopposed. Voting takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
