Today’s Obituaries—April 30: Johnson, Ocasio, Shahinian

Martha M. Johnson, 80, of Kennebunk, Maine, died April 24 at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. Born in Boston, Johnson was raised in Haverhill and attended Walnut Square School and Bradford Junior College. She worked as a real estate agent. Visitation takes place Saturday, May 4 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, followed by a funeral service. Burial is in Haverhill’s Linwood Cemetery.

Diana “Dee” Ocasio, 55, died at Portsmouth Regional Hospital on April 27 with her family by her side. A U.S. Army veteran, Ocasio was born in New York and called Haverhill home for the last 28 years, living with brother Herman Ocasio and his wife Kim. She worked at the couple’s Ocasio’s True Martial Arts as operations manager from 1998-2007. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 1 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service follows in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.

Peter Shahinian, 78, of Haverhill, died April 27 at the Sunrise Senior Living Community in Lynnfield. A civil engineer, he enjoyed swimming at Bradford Swim Club, and skiing at Bradford Ski Area. A graveside service is planned for Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. in the Linwood Cemetery in Haverhill. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Bradford-Haverhill.
