Haverhill Police arrested two city residents and a Plaistow, N.H. man last week after witnessing what they believe to be two consecutive drug deals on the city’s River Street.

Haverhill District Court Judge Stephen Abany imposed a $10,000 cash bail for Groveland Street’s Michael Brulport and $30,000 cash bail for Plaistow’s Robert Gill after police say they allegedly carried out a drug transaction at 79 River St., before driving across the street to the Red Hen Market to do another deal.

According to Narcotics Unit Detective Dana Burrill Jr., Haverhill Police were conducting surveillance in unmarked cruisers before revealing themselves to Brulport and Gill just after 11 p.m. on April 24. Burrill said the pair met up with View Street’s Krystal Duke in the Red Hen parking lot to allegedly conduct another drug transaction before detectives met them with badges out and guns drawn.

In the process, officers seized tan powder believed to be fentanyl from Gill and two plastic bags with a “white rock-like substance” believed to be crack cocaine that Duke hid in her bra, police said.

Brulport and Gill were each charged with distribution of crack cocaine, while Duke faces a possession charge. It is not her first offense. Gill is also charged with fentanyl possession. When the trio next appears in court in May, Brulport also must answer to a suspended license charge.
