Today’s Obituaries—April 17: Deveau, Joseph

George C. Deveau, 74, husband of the late Sherril D. (Brunelle) Deveau, died Friday April 12 at his residence. A Haverhill native and Army veteran, he was employed as a welder for many years and enjoyed bowling at Haverhill’s Pilgrim Lanes. Calling hours are Thursday, April 18 from 5-7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are Friday in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial follows in Elmwood Cemetery, Salem Street, Bradford.

Richard J. “Dick” Joseph, 69, husband of Patricia A. Sullivan, died April 15 at Lawrence General Hospital with his family by his side. An avid marathoner who ran in 33 races including Boston, Joseph held a master’s degree in systems engineering from the University of Southern California, which he attended after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1972. Calling hours are Friday, April 19 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service follows in the funeral home at 7 p.m.
