This Week’s Radio Drama: Kate Scott Stars in New ‘Suspense’ Revival Episode

Departing from Monday night’s traditional broadcast of classic episodes of “Suspense,” this week’s stereo episode is a new release from Hollywood’s Blue Hours Productions.

“Moonrise, Sunset,” heard over 97.9 WHAV FM at 10 p.m., Monday, with an encore broadcast at 1 a.m., tells the story of a young woman confined to a mental health facility after a breakdown. Her only hope of escape lies with her exceedingly eccentric roommate. The episode was written especially for “Suspense” by John C. Alsedek and Dana Perry-Hayes. It stars Kate Scott, Tara Erickson, Marilyn Ghigliotti, Susan Eisenberg, Adrienne Wilkinson (“Xena,” “The Clone Wars”), Melody Peng, Dana Perry-Hayes and Daamen Krall.

Broadcast by WHAV as released, Blue Hours Productions’ “Suspense” features a mix of original scripts and adaptations of classic works, all performed by a crack company of Hollywood actors and supplemented with music and real-life sound effects. The modern revival captures the feel of radio’s “Golden Age” without being an imitation.
