Have extra sports equipment hanging around? Haverhill Girl Scout troop 65340 is working on their silver award and holding a sports equipment drive in an effort to achieve the honor. On Saturday, April 20, the girls encourage locals to drop off gently used gear at the Haverhill Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St., from 9 a.m.-noon.
After collection day, the troop plans to work with the Haverhill Recreation Department to sort the items and distribute them to the city’s sports leagues and children in need.
