Bessie A. Coletti, 95, of Haverhill passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at The Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Coletti. Bessie was born in Haverhill September 21, 1923 the daughter of the late James and Philomena (Simonella) Sabatino.
Bessie was raised in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. She was employed as a cook for over 30 years with the Salem School System in Salem, MA. Bessie loved music and enjoyed yodeling and playing guitar. She was a kind person with a loving heart who will be dearly missed by her family and countless friends.
Bessie is survived by her sister, Mildred A. Chadwick and husband Rodney of West Newbury, MA, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. In addition to her husband, Bessie is predeceased by two brothers, Bernard Sabatino and Rocco Sabatino and five sisters, Elizabeth Sabatino, Mary Rembis, Thomasina Disorbo, Susan Poplarski and Florence Nason.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours, Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at The Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave. Haverhill, MA 01830. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM from Saint Mary’s Parish, 94 Andover St, Georgetown, MA 01833.Burial is private.
