Sixty-five National Grid customers—mostly Ward Hill businesses—lost power after a truck struck a utility pole Tuesday afternoon.

The pole on Foundation Avenue was severed, according to a National Grid spokeswoman.

Radio station 97.9 WHAV FM was among the customers affected after the 1 p.m. accident. The Haverhill Fire Department also responded to a report of a person stuck in an elevator at Hill View Montessori Charter Public School.
