Verna I. Burns, 85, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 7, 2019 at The Friendship Health & Rehab in Cleveland, GA. She was born May 10, 1933 in Haverhill, MA the daughter of the late Edmund A. and Mildred (Strong) Boover.
Verna was a lifelong resident of Haverhill and a graduate of Haverhill High School. She enjoyed time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind. Verna ’s most recent employment was with Wall Industries in Lawrence, MA where she excelled in the encapsulation of electronic components for over 25 years. She was loved by all.
Verna is survived by her brother, Edmund C. Boover and wife Pearl Maxwell of Buford, GA. and two nephews, Thomas Boover and Timothy Boover of Haverhill, MA. She will also be remembered by her first cousin, Mary Ellen Goecke of Haverhill, MA and a host of cousins and friends. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Family and friends are respectfully requested to attend her funeral service Monday, March 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM at The Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave. Haverhill, MA 01830.
