Edward J. Bowley, 57, of Haverhill and formerly of Peabody, died Friday morning, March 1, at his residence surrounded by his family.He owned and operated the former B&D Tooling, Beverly, for more than 15 years and, more recently, was employed as a machinist at Paradigm Machine, Peabody.A Memorial Service takes place Friday, March 8, at 5 p.m., in Riverside Church, 278 Groveland St., Haverhill. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill & Bradford.

John M. Collins, 66, of Groveland and formerly of Haverhill, died Monday, March 4, surrounded by his family at Holy family Hospital at Merrimack Valley. Calling hours are Friday, March 8, from 4-7 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His Funeral service is Saturday, March 9, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial is private.

Norman L. Hammer, 100, died Feb. 28, at Penacook Place. He worked at Hartman Shoe Company, J.H. Smith Grain Co. and Rowell Motors before opening his own business, Hammer’s Garage, which he operated until 1970. He then worked for McGregor & Smith Automobile Co. and Marble Motors. A memorial service takes place Thursday, March 7, at 1 p.m., in the chapel at Linwood Cemetery, 41 John Ward Ave., Haverhill. David Mason Lamb,89, of Exeter, N.H., and formerly of Plaistow, N.H., and Hales Location, N.H., died Feb. 25. He served in the U.S. Army Strategic Intelligence group during the Korean War. Following the war, he joined Bixby Box Toe Company of Haverhill (now Bixby International). He later founded and operated a chain of three travel agencies (Gloucester, Haverhill and Plaistow) until his retirement. A Celebration of Life takes place at 2 p.m., Saturday May 18, at River Woods, 7 River Woods Drive, Exeter, N.H. Florence R. “Bunny” (Chute) McCadden-Fahey, 63, of Salisbury and formerly of Haverhill, died at home surrounded by her family March 3. She was a home health aide and bus driver. Calling hours are Saturday, March 9, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.

Dr. Amit Sarkhel, 69, passed away Friday, March 1, surrounded by his family. He was a senior principal engineer at Raytheon until his retirement last year. Services are Friday, March 8, at Linwood Crematory Chapel, 41 John Ward Ave., Haverhill, beginning at 1 p.m. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill.

Gloria E. (Carufel) Viens, 74, of Haverhill and formerly of Bradford, died Feb. 26, at Beverly Hospital, Beverly. She worked as the head custodian for the Timberlane Regional School District. There will be no calling hours. Private family services were held at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill.
