Today’s Obituaries: March 5

Michael Burchell died unexpectedly on Feb. 28. He was 56. A resident of Haverhill for most of his life, Burchell worked as a carpenter and was a longtime member of the Crescent Yacht Club, where he also worked as a bartender. Calling hours are Saturday, March 9 from 4-6 p.m. at the Kevin Comeau Funeral Home, 286 Main St., Haverhill. A celebration of life takes place at the Crescent Yacht Club, Haverhill, at 6 p.m. following visiting hours. Private burial is in St. Josephs Cemetery, Haverhill.

David Mason Lamb, formerly of Plaistow, N.H., and Hale’s Location, N.H., died Feb. 25 at age 89. A Yale graduate who served during the Korean War, Lamb was the vice president and director of marketing at Haverhill’s Bixby International, formerly known as the Bixby Box Toe Company. He also founded and operated a chain of travel agencies in Haverhill, Plaistow, N.H., and Glocester. An active member of local civic groups, he is a past president of the Haverhill Rotary Club. A celebration of life is planned for May 18 at 2 p.m. at River Woods, 7 River Woods Drive, Exeter, N.H. Arrangements are under the direction of Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill.
