Haverhill Public Meetings: Week of March 4

The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Tuesday, March 5

Haverhill’s Board of Assessors gathers at City Hall in room 115, 4 Summer St., starting at 9 a.m. for the group’s weekly update.

Members of Hill View Montessori School’s development committee plan events including Grandparent Day and Rock n’ Roll Bingo during a 4:30 p.m. session at 75 Foundation Ave.

Mayor James J. Fiorentini delivers his annual State of the City address live from City Council Chambers starting at 7 p.m. 97.9 WHAV FM plans to broadcast his remarks live as a public service.

Wednesday, March 6

Math needs and professional development are on the agenda during Hill View Montessori’s 4:30 p.m. meeting of the school’s accountability subcommittee at 75 Foundation Ave.

The Haverhill School Committee opens a budget workshop session to the public from 5-7 p.m. at the UMass Lowell Innovation Hub, 2 Merrimack St., 3rd floor.

Councilor Colin F. LePage chairs the latest Administration and Finance subcommittee meeting at 7 p.m. in room 204 of City Hall, with discussion topics to include Mayor Fiorentini’s capital improvement program.

Thursday, March 7

Expansion of Bradford Christian Academy is discussed during the Haverhill Conservation Commission’s 7 p.m. meeting in room 301 of City Hall.

Friday, March 8

The city’s Washington Street Historic District Commission connects at The Switchboard, 41 Washington St., at 8:30 a.m. to offer an update on current downtown improvement projects.
