Gloria C. (Lavoie) Rogers, just under two months shy of her 95th birthday, died in the presence of her family at the Lake View House Nursing Home in Haverhill, early Monday morning, Feb. 25. A resident of Atkinson, N.H., who formerly called Haverhill and Salisbury Beach home, Rogers worked at Western Electric and in the activities department of Haverhill’s Kenoza Manor day care. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, 187 Winter St., Haverhill, on Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m. followed by burial in St. James Cemetery. At the request of Rogers, there are no visiting hours.
George L. “Skip” Williams Jr., 57, of Groveland, died Thursday, Feb. 21 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. A former Watertown resident, Williams enjoyed fishing and golf. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family, with arrangements by the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford.
Eleanor J. (Parker) Wilson, 83, of Haverhill, died Monday morning, Feb. 25 at the High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill. Born and raised in Groveland, Wilson was a graduate of Haverhill High School and spent her later years traveling to Plum Island, Fla. Calling hours take place Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 4-7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral service is Thursday morning, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
