Haverhill Public Meetings: Week of Feb. 25

The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

The city’s Board of Assessors hold their weekly meeting starting at 9 a.m. in Tax Assessor Christine M. Webb’s office, room 115, at Haverhill City Hall, 4 Summer St.

New England Forestry Consultants and Haverhill’s Forestry Management Committee come together at the Meadow Brook Conservation Area for a 3 p.m. walk through of the west side of Millvale Reservoir ahead of planned tree cutting.

A public comment period takes place during the Cable TV Advisory Committee’s 6 p.m. session in room 301 of City Hall. Attendees will also receive an update on Comcast negotiations and other business.

Haverhill’s City Council gathers for the first session after a holiday break at 7 p.m. WHAV broadcasts the meeting live from City Hall’s Theodore A. Pelosi Jr. Council Chambers only on 97.9 FM.

Wednesday, Feb. 27

Trustees of the Hillview Montessori Charter School plan to hold a 2 p.m. status meeting at 75 Foundation Ave., Ward Hill.

An update on Washington Square façade renovations is provided at the Haverhill Housing Authority’s 3:30 p.m. meeting at 25-C Washington Square.

The Haverhill Cultural Council continues to plan their grant recipient reception during a 6:30 p.m. meeting held at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.

A joint meeting of Haverhill’s water and wastewater rating board is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in room 300 of City Hall.

Thursday, Feb. 28

Citywide landscaping is up for discussion during a 6 p.m. gathering of the City Council-sanctioned Natural Resources and Public Property Committee.
