Haverhill Police are getting ready to pedal—and need your pennies to do it! Several of the city’s first responders plan to bike 300 miles from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. this May as part of the 2019 Police Unity Tour for charity.

As part of their fundraising efforts, the Haverhill contingent—last year’s bikers included Sergeant Nicholas Brown, Sergeant Joseph Ingham, Officer Jason Pearl and Officer Chris Dondero—will be hanging out at North Andover burger joint Fuddruckers on Monday, March 4 from 5-8 p.m., chatting with residents and raising money for their cause.

Started in 1997, the bike tour began as a way to honor fallen brothers and sisters in blue, with the inaugural 18 riders raising $18,000 for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. In the years since, the group has raised more than $20 million.
