Given the threat of a Tuesday afternoon snowstorm, Haverhill Public Schools Superintendent Margaret Marotta has made the decision to suspend all after-school activities for Feb. 12.
Three to six inches of snow are predicted, with AccuWeather anticipating a mix of sleet and freezing rain to complicate Tuesday evening’s commute.
Marotta said all afternoon school activities and events, including Discovery Club and high school athletics, are cancelled. YMCA after-school childcare programs will operate as scheduled with parent pick-up only.
A decision on Wednesday’s school schedule has not yet been made, Marotta said.
