‘Big Friends Little Friends’ Program Seeks Local Mentors

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Haverhill Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
Community Spotlight is heard quarter past every hour on 97.9 WHAV. Greater Haverhill non-profit organizations are invited to submit news of events, fundraising appeals and other community calendar announcements. Click to use the Submit News Tip form to submit your information1

Have extra time on your hands and a desire to give back to the community? Family Services of the Merrimack Valley seeks adults to mentor area children ages 6-14 as part of the “Big Friends Little Friends” program.

Mentors are asked to commit to meet with their young match twice a month for a minimum of one year. Couples, spouses, friends, co-workers or families are able to volunteer jointly as mentors. Matches are made with consideration of shared interests and location.
