The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Monday, Jan. 28

Proposed retail marijuana shop Stem holds a community outreach meeting at 6:30 p.m. to hear from residents and abutters on the third floor of the UMass Innovation Hub, 2 Merrimack St.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

The city’s Board of Assessors gathers at 9 a.m. in room 115 of Haverhill City Hall, 4 Summer St., to discuss new and existing business.

Janet Kupris of Full Harvest Moonz plans to detail her proposed retail marijuana shop during a 5:30 p.m. community outreach meeting at Haverhill’s Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.

Haverhill’s Cable TV Advisory Committee offers an update on Comcast negotiations during a 6 p.m. session in room 301 of City Hall. Time for public comment will be allotted.

At the weekly City Council meeting, Mayor James J. Fiorentini is expected to discuss the city’s plan to extend Bradford’s Rail Trail. WHAV broadcasts the meeting live starting at 7 p.m. from the City Hall Theodore A. Pelosi Jr. Council Chambers.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

Georgetown plays host to an 11 a.m. meeting of the Northeast Massachusetts Mosquito Control and Wetlands Management District Board of Commissioners session at 118 Tenney St.

Thursday, Jan. 31

Members of the School Committee’s finance subgroup gather at 8:30 a.m. in room 208 of City Hall to go over the 2019 and 2020 budgets.
