Neighbors in Haverhill’s Mount Washington neighborhood will soon have a new space to collaborate and create when the coworking space “Make It Haverhill” opens early next year.

A partnership between city nonprofit Community Action and the grassroots neighborhood group Urban Kindness, the 2,000 square foot space at 301 Washington St. is currently undergoing building renovations.

“Make It Haverhill initially plans to offer creative space for computers, 3-D printing, sewing stations for tailoring, job training, fashion design as well as various classes and networking opportunities for residents,” Urban Kindness founder and Mount Washington neighbor Keith Boucher said in a statement to WHAV.

The location plans to operate on a volunteer basis and offer services free of charge for Haverhill residents during the startup phase.
