Jon Allen Jackson, 63, Former Lucent Employee

Jon Allen Jackson, 63, of Haverhill, a beloved father and brother, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Dec. 6 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Haverhill on Feb. 10, 1955, he was the son of the late Jasper J. and Patricia (Fuller) Jackson. He was employed at the former Lucent Technologies until 2008, then by Asnuntuck College, Enfield, Conn., until 2012.

Jackson treated every day as a blessing and those that knew him were affected by his quick wit, sense of humor and unconditional love. He was an avid self-taught musician and poet and loved to share his gift of song and words with everyone. His family was always his main focus and priority in life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love.

He was the passionate and devoted father of six cherished children, Jayson and his wife Sandra of Haverhill, Jesse and his wife Christy of Linden, N.C., Danielle of Linden, N.C., Aimee of Bradford, Matthew of Haverhill, Jonathan and his wife Stephany of Atkinson, N.H., five grandchildren, Briana, Jayce, Tristan, Alicia and Riley, siblings, James and his wife Kathleen of Chicopee, Barry of Davenport, Fla., Raymond and his wife Nancy of Kingston, N.H.. Also having a special place in his heart was his aunt Avis Bowles of Forest City, N.C., and several other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four siblings Michael, Avis, Jean and Genevieve Jackson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 5-8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. His funeral service will be Wednesday morning, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Bradford Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lithuanian Cemetery, Bradford.
