Haverhill Public Meetings for Week of Dec. 10

The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

Haverhill Retirement Board is set to meet at City Hall at 4 Summer St. in room 303 at 9 a.m. Members will discuss an information technology proposal and an update on their relationship with the PROSPER financial group.

School finances for Hillview Montessori are up for discussion when the school’s finance committee gathers at 75 Foundation Ave. starting at 3 p.m.

The Haverhill City Council‘s weekly meeting takes place at 7 p.m. in the Theodore A. Pelosi Jr. Council Chambers, room 202, at City Hall.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

MassHire Merrimack Valley Workforce Board will feature a guest speaker, Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School’s Beverly DeSalvo, during their meeting at 255 Essex St., starting at 11:30 a.m.

Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School holds a monthly committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. at 115 Amesbury Line Road. Some of the items for discussion include new hires and resignations, the establishment of the Varris (Tuck) Takesian Scholarship and bid results for school roof repairs.

Members of the Hillview Montessori School plan to review findings from the school’s committee meetings at 6:30 p.m. at 75 Foundation Ave.

The Haverhill Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. in room 202 of City Hall to consider Green Valley Farm Realty Trust’s request to pursue a three-lot project at Marbles Lane.

Thursday, Dec. 13

The state Department of Environmental Protection Waterways Regulations Program conducts a public hearing on a potential waterways license in conjunction with new Harbor Place construction along the Merrimack River. The hearing will take place in City Hall, room 301, at 3 p.m.
