Haverhill Public Meetings for Week of Dec. 3

The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

Board of Assessors meets between 9 – 10 a.m. in room 202 at Haverhill City Hall, 4 Summer St. The recently agreed upon tax classification rates–including residential–will be certified.

City Council meets at 7 p.m. in the Theodore A. Pelosi Jr. Council Chambers, room 202, at Haverhill City Hall. Mayor James J. Fiorentini intends to discuss several salary agreements formed between Haverhill and Teamsters Local 170 concerning pay for groups of workers at the Haverhill Citizens Center and in the water/wastewater divisions.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

A Cable TV Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in room 301 at Haverhill City Hall. Members will speak with Comcast representatives about ongoing contract negotiations between the company and Haverhill.

Water/Wastewater Rating Board meets at 6:30 p.m. in room 300 at Haverhill City Hall to discuss an abatement request.

Thursday, Dec. 6

The Conservation Commission gathers in room 301 at Haverhill City Hall at 7 p.m. Items for discussion include the upcoming construction of a six-story residential building at 56-68 Merrimack St. on the grounds of Harbor Place.
