Dennis Prue, 68, Painter

Dennis Prue, 68, of Farmington, N.H., died Friday, Nov. 30 at his home.

Born in Haverhill on Dec. 22, 1949, he was the son of the late Stewart F. Prue Jr. and Rita M. (Martin) Prue.

Educated in the Haverhill school system, Prue graduated from Haverhill High School with the class of 1967 and was employed in various trades throughout the construction field, retiring as a painter.

He was an avid wrestling, Patriots and Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing cards and trips to the casino. His love of nature naturally led him to enjoy hunting and fishing. But above all else, he cherished time spent with his family.

Prue was predeceased by his brothers, Michael D. and Stewart F. Prue III.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Rossetti) Prue of Farmington, N.H., daughter Allison Foley of Bradford, two sons Dennis Prue Jr. of Portsmouth, N.H., and Brian C. Prue of Barrington, N.H., their mother Margret Prue of Bradford, two sisters Cheryl Carter and her husband Joseph of Crystal River, Fla., and Susan Gross of Newburyport, a brother, Frank Smecker of Barre, Vt., four granddaughters Kendra, Kayla, Meaghan and Charlotte, two grandsons Landen and Evan, two great-grandchildren Willow and Ryder, a son-in-law John M. Foley of Bradford as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 4-7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill.
