The Haverhill Relay for Life group is getting a jumpstart on their 2019 fundraising efforts, with holiday-themed events planned in the coming weeks.
This Sunday, Dec. 2, a pancake breakfast takes place from 8 a.m.-noon at the Amvets, 576 Primrose St., with a $5 donation getting locals a full breakfast and a photo with Santa. Cancer survivors and patients eat free.
On Dec. 8, the group hosts a holiday craft fair at Groveland Street’s Riverside Church from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with local crafters and vendors offering wares and baked goods. Raffles and kid-friendly activities are also planned.
All event proceeds go toward the American Cancer Society, organizer Sarah Durham tells WHAV. The 2019 Greater Haverhill Relay for Life is planned for June 7 at Northern Essex Community College.
