It’s Christmas Kettle time and the local Salvation Army is in search of volunteer bell ringers! Majors Walter and Lynnann Rivers from Haverhill’s Main Street office need the community’s help to staff red kettle donation locations across the city and over the border in Plaistow, N.H. for several Saturdays through December.

Volunteer shifts run from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. or 3-8 p.m. at the Central Plaza, RiversEdge and Westgate Market Basket locations in Haverhill, and at Wal-Mart, Market Basket and Shaw’s in Plaistow, N.H. The shifts may be split up among several bell ringers and groups or teams are encouraged to participate. Volunteer musicians are also welcome to perform at kettle locations.
