Imagine being trapped on an island as man-eating rats surround you.

That’s the horror faced by Jean, played by Vincent Price, and his cohorts this Tuesday on “Suspense.” Adapted from the short story by French author George G. Toudouze, “Three Skeleton Key” would become one of the classic plays airing near the end of network radio’s heyday.

Although “Three Skeleton Key” was first adapted for CBS’s “Escape” series in 1949 and featured different actors, Price would go on to be the star most associated with the story. He appeared in the 1950, 1956 and 1958 presentations.” Tuesday night’s version is from Nov. 11, 1956.

“Three Skeleton Key” is heard Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m. with encore performance at 1:30 a.m. over 97.9 WHAV FM.
