Retired Haverhill Police officer Ozzie Hardy hopes to make Christmas a bit brighter for city children with the launch of his annual holiday toy donation drive.

Hardy—who plans to deliver gifts to 850 city kids this season—tells WHAV toys are especially needed for older children ages 9-12, both boys and girls.

Locals interested in donating may bring new, unwrapped toys to the Haverhill Police station, 40 Bailey Blvd., or contact Hardy through his Ozzie’s Kids Facebook page to arrange for pickup.
