Christel (Flore) Meinhold, 76, Textile Weaver

Christel (Flore) Meinhold, 76, the wife of the late Udo Meinhold, died peacefully Nov. 14 in Haverhill with her loving family by her side.

Born in Bielefeld, Germany during World War II, she was the first of two siblings, a brother and a sister. At the age of 18, she married Udo Meinhold, who was in the German Air Force. She was a textile weaver by trade and worked in the textile industry for several years. An avid tennis player, she always enjoyed any physical activity. In 2004, Meinhold and her husband moved to the United States to be near her daughter Martina. She was full of life and always had a smile on her face. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will always be remembered for her generous spirit and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Martina White and her husband Don of Atkinson, N.H., son Frank Meinhold, two beloved grandsons Marcel Meinhold and Christopher White, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. at the Atkinson Congregational Church, Main Street, Atkinson, N.H. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
