Sheila H. Cote, 75

Sheila H. Cote, 75, of Amesbury, passed away on Nov. 6 in Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris Cote (Blair). Cote attended the Haverhill Public School System and was part of the Turning Point Organization for over 30 years. She lived with three other ladies at Middle Road in Amesbury, where she was well taken care of by the staff that loved her.

Cote was a happy, feisty person that loved to shop, play dress up, collect pocketbooks and draw. She enjoyed her sweets and loved to drink coffee. As a joke, she would take other people’s coffee when they weren’t looking, something she learned from her father. Cote also loved to listen to music and to spend time with her program staff.

Turning Point was her home and the staff and residents, as well as her guardian Judy Abby, were like her family. She also leaves behind a cousin Debbie Rogers. She will be forever in our thoughts and greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 892 Hilldale Ave., Haverhill.
