The Greater Lawrence Family Health Center went pink for breast cancer awareness last month, netting more than $90,000 for women’s health programs across the Merrimack Valley.

Held late last month at the Andover Country Club, the ninth annual In Pink Brunch & Comedy Show  featured remarks from renowned stress consultant, motivational speaker and comedian Loretta LaRoche, who encouraged attendees to laugh a little more – especially at themselves – during times of stress. The health center raised funds through a text-to-give campaign, a silent and live auction and the sale of raffle tickets and mystery boxes.

June Black from the office of Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, was recognized with the health center’s Rosalyn Kempton Wood Award at the event, applauded as “a champion of constituent concerns and a master problem solver who gets things done in Greater Lawrence.”

Local leaders including Tsongas, Lawrence Mayor Daniel Rivera and Senator-elect Diana DiZoglio attended the event to celebrate Black and raise awareness for the cause.
