Roberta A. (Constantine) Fairbanks Wentworth, 83, Worked as Nurse

Roberta A. (Constantine) Fairbanks Wentworth, 83, wife of Robert H. Wentworth, passed away Oct. 30, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Nancy A. (Profetta) Constantine. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she attended St. James Grammar School and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1954. She attended Essex Agricultural School in Danvers for the Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Roberta was employed as a CNA with the Visiting Nurse Association in the Haverhill area, retiring in 1990. She lived in Fort Myers, FL for eight years and moved to Hernando, FL for twelve years with her husband before returning to Haverhill. Roberta served as President of the East Parish Meeting House and the Downtown Haverhill Events committee as well as the Haverhill High School Reunion committee. Known as the life of the party and a great sense of humor, she loved cooking, hummingbirds and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by her children, Floyd B. “Russ” Fairbanks, III of Haverhill; Pamela F. and Robert Weiner of Haverhill and Ft. Myers, FL; Scott D. and Sharon Fairbanks or Tyngsboro; step children, Lynn A. Wentworth of Sarasota, FL; Robert H. Wentworth Jr. and Patricia Wentworth of Raymond, NH; Adam S. and Laura Wentworth of Haverhill; a brother, George R. Constantine, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Hernando FL; a brother in law, Maurice Chevalier of Haverhill; eleven grandchildren, Samuel Weiner, Connor Perkins, Michael Perkins, Joshua Fairbanks, Marion Hunt, Katherine Hunt, Rachel Wentworth, Robert Wentworth III, Paige and Christopher Marquis, Adam Wentworth Jr. and Gen, Payton Wentworth; five great grandchildren, Gannon Marquis, Caden Marquis, Quinten Marquis, Olivia Wentworth and Zoe Wentworth; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Joan F. Constantine and Lorraine M. Chevalier.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
