Downtown’s Creatorpult is making big moves in the time since the makerspace’s fall 2017 opening—and Beacon Hill is officially on notice.
Owner and manager Christopher White was recently awarded a grant worth more than $25,000 from the Baker-Polito Administration as part of the third round of MassDevelopment’s Collaborative Workspace awards. White’s creative co-working space is one of 28 small businesses across the state to receive a share in $2.2 million.
With his share, White tells WHAV Creatorpult will undergo renovations and purchase additional 3-D printers and a laser cutter, among other equipment.
“Our goal is to be an affordable resource to freelancers and entrepreneurs in the city of Haverhill,” White said.
Located at 143 Essex St., Suite 211, Creatorpult provides woodworking, electronics, 3-D printing and other craft equipment for community use. On-site equipment rentals and classes are offered on an a la carte basis, with monthly memberships available.
Creatorpult is one of three Merrimack Valley spots to receive a revenue boost. Lawrence’s 60 Island Street and Lowell’s Mill City Grows also earned state grants, Gov. Charlie Baker’s office said this week.
